Good telly has become more essential than ever, so this Christmas Acorn Media is offering a bumper bundle of 10 bingeworthy Box Sets for one lucky winner. Leading ladies are the name of the game, from super sleuths to awesome army heroes and miraculous medics, there’s something for everyone:

Get stuck into sassy sleuth series Agatha Raisin and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, where both eponymous detectives solve dastardly deeds with their signature style and fashionable flair – Agatha (Ashley Jensen) in the quaint Cotswolds, and Miss Fisher (Essie Davis) in 1920’s Melbourne high society. Hit BBC series and fan favourite Our Girl has now come to an end, so what better time to revisit the complete series as Eastenders’ Lacey Turner and Coronation Street’s Michelle Keegan play army medics who must face love and loss in life on the front line? A period drama with a twist, historical fiction series Britannia sees playwright Jez Butterworth take liberties with the truth as he crafts a surreal, violent and hilarious take on the ancient Roman occupation of Britain, and the young girl who is prophesied to save her Celtic tribe. The Good Karma Hospital is the perfect sunny escapism since summer holidays were cancelled this year – take a trip through the TV to the shores of South India as the hardworking medical team led by Amanda Redman do their all to save their patients, and to build a life for themselves.

Returning for new nail-biting outings in 2021, gritty female-led noir dramas Marcella and Keeping Faith follow working women and mothers, determined DI Marcella Backland (Anna Friel) and ferocious lawyer Faith Howells (Eve Myles), who would go to any lengths to protect their families. Hollywood royalty Anna Paquin stars as queen of spin Robyn in PR drama Flack, where clearing up celeb drama is all in a day’s work, but that doesn’t stop her getting into plenty of drama in her personal life. A Place to Call Home is a sweeping romantic drama set in the 50’s, starring Marta Dusseldorp as a woman with a mysterious past who returns to Australia and becomes entangled with the wealthy Bligh family. Spine-chilling detective drama The Fall stars Gillian Anderson as the formidable Superintendent Stella Gibson, tasked with tracking down dangerous serial killer Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan)…but soon the case gets personal.
